Senior Phase Study Leave Arrangements 2019

 

In the downloads section below you will find a number of documents relating to the Study Leave Arrangements for those in the Senior Phase. Please note, there are no study leave arrangements for pupils studying National 3 or National 4 qualifications. 

All pupils will receive a copy of the documents below as well as an individualised SQA timetable.

 

Study Leave Arrangements Letter

The following arrangements apply to all West Lothian secondary schools:

  • The study leave period for S4 and S5 pupils will start on Thursday 25 April and on Friday 5 April for S6 pupils.
  • S4 pupils will be allocated two days study leave per National 5 course over and above the exam day and an immersion day.
  • No study leave will be granted for National 3 or National 4 qualifications. 

S5/6 students are allocated full study leave and will return to school on Thursday 30 May (with the exception of those who have an exam on Thursday 30 May).

Immersion Days

The immersion days are additional revision classes run by staff. In some cases they run all day, morning or afternoon.

The April and May immersion documents detail the time and date of each subject aswell as the level.

 

Easter Study School

This document details the study support sessions that are running during the Easter holiday. Sessions last 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm.

 

Study Leave Transport

Parents/carers of pupils who are entitled to free school transport and are due to sit exams this year should click on the following link to find out if they are eligible for additional transport, and to make their application if they are eligible: https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/article/25671/Exam-Transport.  The deadline for application is Friday 12th April.
