Digital Literacy

We are delighted to announce that West Calder high School has gained the Digital Schools Scotland Award. This was awarded in 2021 and recognises the schools journey in integrating digital technology into learning and teaching. Since then the school has continued to promote a one to one device policy with over 90% of our young people having their own digital learning device, laptop or tablet, that they bring to school each day.

We are currently undergoing a reassessment of our digital strategy and journey to ensuring all young people are digitally literate. Once complete we will gain another Digital School's Award.
