Achieve
Achieve is an online resource which is ideal for Senior Phase pupils to help raise attainment (3.2) but also extremely useful for teaching and learning (2.3) purposes. There is a two pronged approach, one for pupils and one for teachers.
Pupils
Designed for Scottish students, their online digital courses are broken down to key topics and concepts, each clearly explained and illustrated. There are hundreds of links to free resources and QS exam questions and solutions. Online assessments will test their understanding and help identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
ACHIEVE helps pupils learn and revise more effectively by providing:
- Interactive digital textbooks - topics are broken into clear sections and explained step‑by‑step
- Online assessments and quizzes - check understanding and give instant feedback
- Self‑evaluation tools - students can identify strengths and areas needing improvement
- Links to past exam questions and resources (e.g. exam papers, revision materials)
- Study support and confidence building - helps learners prepare for exams and improve grades
Teachers
As well as supporting students, ACHIEVE can also help teachers monitor the progress of National 5 and Higher classes. ACHIEVE determines each student's strengths and areas for improvement, and reports levels of confidence for all course topics. Used in school or remotely, ACHIEVE is also an ideal teaching tool for delivering course content, setting online assessments and facilitating home/remote learning.
ACHIEVE also supports teaching staff by allowing them to:
- Track pupil progress and attainment
- Identify gaps in learning for individuals or whole classes
- Set assessments and assignments online
- Support classroom and remote learning
