SP Drama

N5 Drama: 

Through the Drama skills unit, pupils will explore how to create their own drama thinking about form, structure, style and genre. Through preparing for practical exams, where young people choose what they would like to be assessed on, there are opportunities for individual and collaborative work. They will also learn Drama Terminology and how to use this effectively to answer written response questions. 

Higher Drama: 

In the Higher course, young people will explore acting, design or directing for their final exam where they will work across the year to prepare for this. They will also explore the a play text through deciding how they would put on a performance of this play through the lens of an actor or director to highlight a specific dramatic feature. They will also analyse a practical performance of a play, exploring how acting and design concepts have been used within the performance.
